An oracle deck inspired by Sardinian Goddesses from Pre-Nuragic and Nuragic culture. Illustrations realised in 3D softwares.
Since ancient times, the moon has inspired humanity, delivering unto it their prayers and their rituals. These actions, repeated for centuries right up to the present day, have left the enduring imprint of an ancient memory on our culture. The inspiration for this Oracle is the profound love I have for my land, Sardinia: her traditions and her magic. I yearned to express this, dedicating the Oracle to the Sacredness of the ancient Goddess in the context of Pre-Nuragic and Nuragic cultures.
This Oracle Deck has been influenced by various evocative symbols that characterise these two essential periods of Sardinian history. I was inspired by the sacredness of Pre-Nuragic culture’s holy burial sites (known as Domus de Janas or Fairy Houses ), Mother Goddess worship and Megaliths: wonderous standing stones. I also drew on the later Nuragic culture’s sacred wells, water worship, the revered Priestess and the Moon.

FROM HAND TO DIGITAL 3D
I have designed twenty-six cards for the Nuragic Moon Oracle Deck . In Nuragic Culture, the Goddess is connected with the Full Moon, the New Moon, and the Element of Water. Each of the cards captures the symbology sacred to the Nuragic Civilization, such as Bull Horns, associated with the Womb, Sacred Water Temples and Wells, Standing Stones, and Ancient Tombs.
To materialize this project, to transmit the true magic of the cards, I asked Paola Pinna to collaborate with me.A talented 3D Digital Artist, she gives life to the Nuragic Moon Oracle Deck. Paola Pinna Studio has realized my designs in 3D. Her digital art creates an immersive, realistic aesthetic, faithfully conveying the magical aura of the Moon and the presence of the Sardinian Goddesses.
The Oracle Deck is in English with a booklet downloadable in Italian.
The Full Moons and New Moons are at the heart of this Oracle deck. The thirteen Full Moon Cards arise from the Pre-Nuragic Mother Goddesses. They are our inner voice, connecting with our subconscious, representing energies that would typically be the Major Arcana of the Tarot.
The thirteen New Moon Cards connect with the Women, the Priestesses, of the Nuragic Bronze Age. They are the guides that help us incarnate the energy of this ancient spiritual heritage, drawing it into the modern world. Each card has its own relation to a corresponding month of the year, except for the thirteenth moons, the Blue Moon and the Black Moon. In simple terms, they are the second occurrence of either a Full Moon or New Moon during a single month.
I trust the reader and custodian of the deck to discover the corresponding month for each card.
I wish for this Oracle to help develop each person’s own authenticity and intuition, fundamental elements for reading with clarity.
The Nuragic Moon Oracle is deposited in the following libraries: The Bodleian Library Oxford University, Cambridge University Library, National Library of Scotland, National Library of Wales, Trinity College Dublin, and many others.
The Nuragic Moon Oracle will be exhibited at the "The Nuragic Wave: Art, Craftsmanship, and Design Facing Prehistory" exhibition, curated by Giuliana Altea, Antonella Camarda, and Luca Cheri. The exhibition will take place at the Tavolara Pavilion in Sassari and will be open to the public from March 2, 2024, until July 8, 2024.
